About Zoarc Owner, Connor Weitz
Connor was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. Although Connor played a variety of sports growing up and was very active as a kid, he was never educated on health, nutrition, training, recovery, and the other primary aspects that are very important in becoming a great athlete and overall healthy individual. This led to a variety of injuries and health related problems, which in turn led to underperforming in athletics. As a teenager and into college, Connor also had difficulties sleeping at night. Four hours of sleep per night was pretty typical. Many things led to this including stress, workload, late night blue light exposure, nutritional deficiencies, late nights of homework/studying and sporting events paired with early wake up calls, and the list goes on. This led to headaches, inability to focus, and ultimately anxiety and depression. Connor believes that he was put on this earth to help people avoid the challenges that he has gone through and to help those in need. Connor played one season of college basketball before deciding to focus his energy entirely on becoming the fittest and healthiest version of himself. Connor went on to graduate with honors in Health and Human Physiology from the University of Iowa, where he also had the opportunity to work with the Strength and Conditioning Department. Connor is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of high school, college, and professional athletes. Connor now lives in Dubuque, Iowa, where he trains not only athletes, but people of all ages, in an effort to follow his passion of helping others improve their fitness, health, performance, and life.
